The Remy Kennel Club (RKC) is a canine certification club specifically catering to the American Pit Bull Terrier & Bully Terrier breed(s). The RKC is a full-service certification club, offering both Single Dog & Litter certification and confirmation classes which provide you and your Pit Bull with the opportunity to earn points towards championship show titles. Despite its name, the Remy Kennel Club is open to ALL APBT/AB bloodlines. The RKC is not a certification club exclusive to Remyline Bloodline Pit Bulls.

WHAT is the RKC?
Within the RKC there is a special designation given to those Remyline Bloodline dogs who meet the Remyline Standard of confirmation, structure & temperament, all of which is determined based on a points system. RemyLine Certified (RLC) is the designation given to the Remyline Bloodline Pit Bulls who meet and fulfill all of the requirements of the Remyline Standard. For the non-Remyline Bloodline dogs participating in RKC sanctioned events, they too are judged based on this same points system and Remyline Standard of confirmation & temperament.

How Do I Qualify to Have My Dog RemyLine Certified (RLC)?
Your dog must be a direct son, daughter, grandchild, double Remy, and so forth.Remy must be within 4 generations of your dogs pedigree.No kink tails, or cut off tails. A bump on the tail is acceptable.No overdone dogs (on the extreme side).For example, we will not certify dogs that are bowed out in the back and in the front to the point where he will not walk right.No dogs with a high back (i.e. huge dip on its top line). No duck or webbed feet dogs.
How Do I Qualifiy to Have My Dog Certified Remy Club (CRC)?
The CRC is for those dogs that are not Remyline bloodline in origin, meaning these dogs do not have Remy, AT ALL, in their pedigree. CRC dogs are judged by the same rules and standards as RLC dogs. Kinked or docked tails are prohibited. A bump on the tail is acceptable. Overdone dogs (on the extreme side) are not permissable. For example, we will not certify dogs that are bowed out in the back and in the front to the point where it's gait and movement are not sound. Dogs with a high back/rear, thus causing a swayed appearance in its topline, and dogs with splayed toes are not permissable. A CRC dog is allowed to compete in an RKC show and is Judged by the RLC standards.
How Do I Qualify My Litter for RemyLine Certification or Certified Remy Club?
Once the litter registration fee(s) are paid, your puppies get automatic RLC or CRC certification. However, they will have a "P" on their initial certificates. When the puppies turn one year old, if they still meet the RLC standard, the "P" will be removed from their Official RLC/CRC certificate(s). You will receive applications for permanent certification for each puppy in the litter. The application can be given to any new owners to submit for certification of his/her RemyLine (RLC) or non-Remyline (CRC) dog.

RLC Physical Requirements
Remyline Certified Dogs are medium-sized and well defined musculature American Pit Bull Terriers.RLC Dogs have a solid build, short and smooth coat, and a blocky head piece.These dogs have a very powerful presence as well as ability.Their strong movement displays power in an effortless way.RLC dogs should have the appearance of thick bone and a girth body to support its frame and look. The following is a guideline of the physical requirements that a RemyLine Certified Dog must meet.
Size
Height and weight of the dog must be at a good proportion.
Height: Males, 17"-19" measured at the withers.
Females, 16"-18" measured at the withers, and not the shoulders
Weight: Males, 70-85 pounds. Females, 55-70 pounds.
Coat
All RLC dogs should have a glossy, short and tight coat.
Color
All colors and patterns are accepted.
CONTINUE
Body
Chest should be deep with a "barrel" appearance. Chests should have well-sprung ribs, with the shoulders and forelegs set wide apart for the chest to develop.Stomach should taper in so it has a V shape appearance.
Remyline Head
Head - Broad skull, medium length, deep through, very pronounced cheek muscles, high set ears and a short and distinct stop.
Eyes - All colors are accepted, except albinism. The dog's eye shape should be oval or round, set far apart, and low down in the dog's skull
Ears - Cropped or Natural.
Nose - All colors are acceptable.Smashed in nose or muzzle are not accepted.
Muzzle - Medium in size, rounded on upper side, and squared to fall away abruptly below the eyes.
Lower jaw should be strong and have biting power.Jaws should be well defined with cheek muscles pronounced on top of them.
Upper teeth should be flushed with the lower teeth or in front of lower teeth, also known as a scissor bite.
Lips - Semi-close the tighter the better.
Tail
Based on the size, tail should be of medium length.The tail should be thick and strong and tapering to a point (kinks, knots, and curled tails are not accepted).
Legs
Front legs should be straight and coming off the sides of the shoulder.Legs should not be under the chest. Bones should be large and thick, pastern upright.
Feet should be straight and not easty-westy.Feet should also be of moderate size, with tight catlike toes.
Hindquarters should and muscular, all the way down to the hocks, should be straight, neither in nor out.
Faults
-Easty-westy.
-Extreme bowed out legs.
-Pink eyes and albinism.
-Overbite and under-shot mouths.
-Kinked, knotted, twisted, curled or extremely long tails.
Remyline Neck
The neck should be powerful and heavy, slightly arched, and tapering from the shoulders to the back of skull. It should be a medium size with a tight coat and minimal loose skin.
Shoulders
Muscular with wide blades, should have a very powerful and strong appearance.
RKC Confirmation Classes
Championship Requirements
To earn a Champions status, a dog must complete the following:
Major Wins
A total of 150 points is required for an RKC Show Championship title. The dog must earn at least three major wins in the Best Male/Female, Best of Winners or Best in Show/Breed categories. A qualifying competition must have at least five dogs in their respective classes. The dog must also attain these three major wins under at least 2 different judges.
Champions Class
All dogs that earned the RKC Champions status will be eligible to compete in the Champions Class. Three champions or more must be entered to earn credit toward a Grand Champion title. Champion males and females will compete separately. Each dog will be judged by the breed standard. If there are less than 3 Champions entered, the show will be an exhibition only.

-Adult 2-3 years
-Senior 3 & up
Confirmation Points Will Be Based on the Following...
Best Male/Female: 15 points
Best of Winners: 15 points
Best in Show/Breed: 15 points
Second place Male/Female: 10 points
Third place Male/Female: 5 points
Winners from each class will compete for Best Male and Best Female respectively for (15) additional points.
